My favorite thing about the hole glide is reduced texture distortion on velvet and less chance of tearing fragile fabrics.

No, because the holes are recessed in a channel

But overall the ergonomics and lightweight, ease of use and the added ability to mist and Vac will all add up to a much shorter time frame when cleaning your typical sofa so in the end there's less stress involved..
